Summary:
This special issue seeks to bring together various strands of current policy thinking and practices that share an orientation towards the role of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) for the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In September 2015 at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit, a set of 17 goals were formulated to transform our world by 2030 through sustainable development (SD). Goal 17 focuses on revitalizing the global partnership for SD. Paragraph 67 of United Nations General Assembly resolution 70/1 recognizes the role of the private sector in development and calls upon its contribution to use its creativity and innovation to solving sustainable development challenges.
