- Esta monografía explora por vez primera el impacto de aspectos clave de la política cultural del reinado de Felipe II en la producción literaria de Cervantes, en especial en "Don Quijote". El estudio del énfasis del monarca en la comunicación escrita y en lo burocrático (escritofilia), su anacrónico intento por reactivar la caballería medieval castellana y su afán coleccionista (en particular de reliquias) arrojan una nueva lectura sobre la obra maestra del escritor alcalaíno.
