- Summary:
- This is a manuscript of the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy (Exodus 34:6-7) with Midrashic commentary insertions, and with the corresponding Attributes of Mercy in the verses in Micah 17:18-20. The Midrashic content is taken from the Babylonian Talmud (Rosh ha-Shanah 17b) and Yalkut Shimoni (814:1); the lines follow the scheme of the Attributes according to Jacob ben Meir Tam (1100-1171; Tosafot to Rosh ha-Shanah 17b, "Shelosh ʻeśreh midot"). The manuscript ends with sentences of the Yom Kippur liturgy, indicating that this was a text of meditation used during the repetition of the Attributes during the Yom Kippur prayers.
