- Biography/History:
- Married to Sender Ralbag, likely of the Ralbag family in Jerusalem, a prominent family of perushim (19th century migrants to Ottoman Palestine from Shklow, Belarus, students of Elijah ben Solomon).
- Summary:
- This is a manuscript of a Rosh ha-Shanah greeting written and illustrated by Tsiporah Ralbag; the greeting and year are written in a circular scheme around a monogram in the center, with the name of the recipient below ("Barukh Yitsḥaḳ et familye"), and with Tsiporah and Sender Ralbag's signature at the bottom. Illustrations of two birds , each holding a card with "Shanah ṭovah" in their beaks, and a crown in the center (a symbol of Rosh ha-Shanah). Written on commercial notebook paper; item originated in British Mandatory Palestine, possibly Jerusalem.
