- Summary:
- This book is a compilation of one hundred exhibitions of the many that the University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) has had in 12 years of life. The venue has made a careful selection, leaving the most representative exhibitions, as it has housed more than 300 artists and more than 2,100 works. It is therefore a catalogue of the most important creations in contemporary art in almost first quarter of the 21st century. Twelve years after the last revision of the collection of this museum, the MUAC catalogue explores its artistic and documentary collection to share with the public works that are already referents of the collective imaginary and thought. With the participation of 96 artists and collectives, MUAC selected key works in the history of contemporary Mexican art, with a variety of genres and formats in a period of a little more than half a century. This catalogue also includes recently acquired pieces that strengthen the artistic and cultural heritage of the UNAM.
