- Summary:
- Thea Barlow, the Chicago editor, is off again to Wyoming, to interview Kid Corcoran, the last of the old-time bandidoes, for Western True Adventures magazine. The eighty-two year old Kid, just released after forty years in prison, has returned to his hometown to live out his remaining years ... or so he says. But nobody in town believes him, and they can never forget or forgive him for his crimes surrounding the Wyoming jade fields. The jade is mined out, but not the memories of jumped claims, murder and stolen finds. The murder of a young reporter plunges Thea into a stream of greed-driven terror.
