Summary:
This is a mezuzah written in an Ashkenazic square script, distinctly safrut (ritual script) without tagin (crowns above select letters). The mezuzah contains text from Deuteronomy (6:4-9, 11:13-20) on the recto and Shaddai with the double-Tetragrammaton in cipher on the verso, following the Ashkenazic custom. Item likely originated in Poland, Ukraine, or Lithuania, during the 19th century.
