- Summary:
- The hand of a wealthy rancher's daughter is sought by two men, one a small farmer and the other is a man who has earned money overseas. To ensure the impossibility of the farmer ever winning the girl's hand, the expatriate calls into question the man's title to his lands. It happens that the deed has gone missing, and he has no proof of ownership. In desperation, the farmer prays to the Virgin Mary at church, and at that very moment a workman's accident uncovers a small patch of wall containing the deed in question. The farmer rushes off to the wedding ceremony now underway to have a few words with the expatriate, and perhaps to marry his beloved.
