Summary:
Two of naturalistic German filmmaker Fanck's "mountain" films. In Sacred mountain, Riefenstahl (her first acting role) plays a young dancer named Diotima, whose two suitors introduce her to the beauty and tragedy of rock climbing and skiing. White flame is also filled with spectacular scenes of skiing, this time in a comedic "foxhunt" in which Leni and another "fox" lead a pack of 50 international ski champions in a frenzied chase through the Swiss Alps.
