Summary:
In response to the expense of the American funeral, and to the distancing that the larger society gives to death, a congregation in Minneapolis decides to follow the Conservative Jewish practice of Taharah (preparation of the body for burial) as well as the humanizing aspects of Judaism in its involvement with both the living and deceased.
