Summary:
This is a manuscript document of a funds transfer between two parties in the presence of “C.R.”, magistrate of Neo Sandecensem (then called Neu-Sandez in German or Tsants in Yiddish; today Nowy Sącz, Poland); Juda Leib Blech paid 2 gulden and 30 kreutzer to Samuel and Chaja Trachman (“Sententia ddo [= de dato] 9bris [= Novembris] 815 in Causa Judei Samuelis et Chaja Trachmanowie contra Judah Levi Blech ...”). Each person signs their name in Yiddish below the statement in Polish by the magistrate (Samuel signs his name as טרוכמאן, Ṭrukhman, while Chaje signs as טראַכמאנוויץ, likely reflecting the magistrate's recording their name as “Trachmanowie”). Blech adds a Yiddish testimony under his signature ("נאום יהודא ליב בלעך איך האב אנ גנימן דיא בריף"), 'signed Yehuda Leyb Blekh, I have delivered the package'). Written in a printed form for this purpose, titled Phylura Admanuationis, with column headings including Nomen partium and Subscriptio partium; written in a Latin cursive script in the Nomen partium column, and Polish cursive script and Yiddish Ashkenazic cursive script in the Subscriptio partium column.
