1922-1925: The Directory was edited and published by Paul Brewster, an American journalist who by the early-1920s had been working in Europe for several years. It had separate editions for Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Its listings include resident Americans, American women married to titled Europeans, American clubs, American newspaper representatives, and for Britain, Belgium, and France, American companies.
