- The International Airport Authority of India (The Airport Authority) is responsible for controlling and managing airports in India. In 1977 the Indian Airport Authority of India invited tenders for running a restaurant and two snack bars in Bombay airport. However, the previous operator of the restaurants in Bombay airport filed a petition with the Indian high court arguing that the tender had violated the principle of equality enshrined in Article 14.
