『박이문 인문학 전집』의 출간 기획은 2014년부터 시작되었다. 박이문 선생과 부인 유영숙 여사의 격려와 지원을 통해 큰 힘을 손에 쥐고 출발했다. 전집의 목차 구성은 박이문 선생의 인문학적 저작을 주제별·시간대별로 분류한 결과물이다. 제4권 『철학이란 무엇인가』는 박이문 철학의 근원을 보여주는 내용으로 철학의 내용을 기본적인 것부터 설명하는 글들을 모은 것이다. 1부의 『철학이란 무엇인가』(1976)는 철학의 가장 기본적인 언어, 인식, 존재, 형이상학과 같은 개념들을 매우 분명하게 설명하고 있으며, 2부는 『현상학과 분석철학』(1977)으로 미국에서 전공한 당시 현대 철학의 총아로 관심을 끌던 주제였으며, 3부는 1970년대 후반과 1990년대 초반의 두 시기에 쓴 철학적인 문제에 대한 해설적 글이다.

Planning to publish 『Park Yi-moon's Complete Works of Humanities』 began in 2014. We set off with great strength through the encouragement and support of Mr. Park Yi-moon and his wife, Ms. Yoo Young-sook. The table of contents of the complete collection is the result of classifying Park Yi-moon's humanistic works by subject and time period. Volume 4, 『What is Philosophy』, shows the origins of Park Yi-moon's philosophy and is a collection of articles that explain the content of philosophy from the basics. Part 1, 『What is Philosophy』 (1976), explains very clearly the most basic concepts of philosophy such as language, cognition, existence, and metaphysics, and Part 2 is 『Phenomenology and Analytical Philosophy』 (1977), which explains It was a topic that attracted attention as a favorite of modern philosophy at the time, and Part 3 is an explanatory essay on philosophical issues written in two periods, the late 1970s and early 1990s.
