- Summary:
- Designed and produced during the COVID pandemic, the photographic images, that despite being taken in different years and countries, curiously reflected the sense of loneliness experienced at the beginning of the 2020 health confinement. The sixteen images included in this book belong to the artist's photographic archive. These are records made between 1999 and 2020 in Frankfurt, Montevideo, Berlin, Bogota, Hanoi, Venice, Lisbon, Kyoto, Naoshima, Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Maldonado. These photographs trace, without the author's purpose, a journey of what happened in our world during the pandemic of the year 2020. The prologue and main text were written by Matilde Marín. Adriana Almeida's delicate poems that accompany the photographs in the book are fragments of her books Zona del silencioʺ (2009), Patios Prohibidosʺ (2008) and Jardines del abandonoʺ (2019).ʺ Colophon (HKB Translation).
