Summary:
This is a manuscript of an extract of the Avinu Malkenu prayer, recited responsively between the chazzan and congregation during the period of the High Holidays. This responsive portion ends with Proverbs 20:27, concurrent with themes from Seliḥot or the Yom Kippur liturgy. Written in six long lines and torn from a larger leaf of paper; written in a western-Ashkenazic cursive script, similar to examples from western Germany or Netherlands from the early decades of the 19th century.
