- Summary:
- This is a manuscript of a prayer against excessive rain and flooding; to "quiet the abundance of rain, and to shine forth the sun" (lines 12-13). The congregation is instructed to recite it following the 18 berakhot, which is specifically referring to the Amidah during the week (and therefore not recited on the Sabbath and holidays). The prayer is followed by lines of a piyut for recitation by the chazzan and repetition by the congregation.
