Summary:
This is a manuscript of a list of verses and order of liturgy to be recited during a drought. The prayer itself is not recorded in the manuscript, signifying that this was merely a supplementary order of verses to the prayer itself, which was printed in most Siddurim (it is also known as "ועננו בורא עולם במידת הרחמים"). In this manuscript, the prayer is to be preceded by a list of selected Psalms, and followed by 26 selected verses on themes of rains of blessing, heavenly mercy, and sustenance (f. 1r). Eight more verses are inserted at the end, written in a later hand (f. 2v) and instructions to reorder the Psalms in the same hand (f. 1r). Written in an Italian cursive script; a double oblique hyphen follows each verse in the original hand.
