Summary:

The central purpose of the congress is to create a space for academic exchange between researchers in the field of Arts, by promoting a link between research teams, professorships linked to artistic production, postgraduate students, artists and advanced students in the process of preparing their Final Degree Projects that share the exercise, both investigative and production, in artistic disciplines enrolled in the university environment. "The first Jornadas de investigación en artes UNVMnwere part of a process of dialogue and collective construction that took place in the context of the meetings facilitated by the Instituto de Investigación of the Universidad Nacional de Villa María at its annual conferences. A group of researchers understood that it was vital to consolidate the institutional space of the study on artistic problems, to form a specific area to nurture and (re)know the theoretical-methodological lines of the projects that the UNVM was developing, in occasions in an atomized way. These conferences emerge, then, as a need felt by researchers to share ideas and reflections about what we understood was (or were) the possibilities of artistic research and its deployment in the institutionality of the University itself."
