- Summary:
- Biographic study on notable art historian Beatriz Ramírez de la Fuente (Mexico City 1929 - 2005) that includes a detailed bibliography. "Extraordinary humanist and academic are some of the qualifiers used to refer to Beatriz de la Fuente, but before attempting to expose her career and sketch her personality, it is possible to address the phrase that in the title joins her name. For those of us who had the privilege of meeting her, attending her classes, conferences and seminaries, or who have approached her through her publications, the idea of art as a royal way is not strange, for she repeatedly mentioned it. Dr. De la Fuente thought, she knew, that within the range of human realizations art has exceptional qualities for the knowledge of societies and human beings as individuals. He distinguished the magnificence of this route because this was evidenced prolifically and deeply through his dedication to the study of the former Mexicans, in particular those who gave rise to Mesoamerica." --Publisher webpage.
