- An alphabet in verse. Includes a picture of men of various races and ethnic groups holding letters of the alphabet. This lithographed illustration is found in other McLoughlin titles issued between 1882 and 1889.
- Lower cover bears a lithotint depicting two girls and one boy in winter dress. The fine reproductive quality of this lithotint and the chromolithograph on upper cover is characteristic of McLoughlin picture books issued roughly between 1885 and 1899.
