At head of title: Arith. 16 [id est, No. 16]. Title page romanized from Greek.
By Mary Martha Sherwood.
In the 1820s both British and American missionary presses on Malta were issuing tracts translated into modern Greek and other languages. As this work strongly resembles contemporary publications of the American Tract Society and bears a wood engraving by Alexander Anderson (an American), it is likely that it was issued by the Malta press of the American Board of Commissioners of Foreign Missions.

Wood-engraved illustration, page [1] of publisher's paper binding, signed by Alexander Anderson.
