Peter Parley was a pseudonym used by S.G. Goodrich.

Also published under the title: Tales about Great Britain and Ireland.

Probably based on S.G. Goodrich's Peter Parley's tales about Great Britain, published in 1832 (as in NUC pre-1956, 206:466)--and/or 1834, which Goodrich lists as one of his original works in Recollections of a lifetime, II,540. Goodrich also lists, in Recollections, II,551 and 554, two works with similar titles which were either counterfeits or piratings, one of them published by Tegg in 1842.
