- First published in English in 1953, this title was first printed in Hungarian in 1931. Alice Balint (the 1st wife of Michael Balint) intended to translate the title into English herself but died suddenly at the beginning of the Second World War. Eventually their son, by this time a qualified doctor, was instrumental in bringing this edition about.
