The book takes a tour into the artistic trajectory of Ethel Gilmour (b. Cleveland, USA, 1940, lived and worked in Medellín, Colombia since 1971 - d. 2008), "from her early years in the United States with a work influenced by abstract expressionism, through the early works of a figuration in Colombia, to the consolidation of her original and personal style. A sample of her drawing notebooks also has space on these pages" (HKB Translation) --Front Flap. Her work which includes not only painting, but also other artistic exresions such as sculpture, screen printing, drawing, installations and performance, was characterized for her passion for landscapes, popular culture, religious imagery, and her love for animals and plants.
