- The Jaronda family was a prominent Sephardic family in Thessalonikē; prominent members include the subject's father, Abraham ben Samuel, and another Abraham Hayyim (1723-1789), author of Yad neʼeman (and other works); "Miranda" in this document shortened mi-Yerandah, or de Jaronda.
