Summary:

En abril de 1965, en un pueblo extremeño fronterizo con Portugal aparecieron los cadáveres del general Humberto Delgado y de su secretaria. Los asesinatos fueron obra de la policía política portuguesa, por encargo del dictador Oliveira Salazar y con la colaboración de Franco. Muchos años después, para Abel Castro, un viejo periodista en paro que trabajó en el caso, se trata de un asunto olvidado. Pero deja de serlo al recibir la visita de Catarina, una joven fotógrafa portuguesa que tiene el encargo de recorrer los escenarios de los crímenes y quiere aclarar un misterio que la atormenta. Coincidiendo con el asesinato de Humberto Delgado, el único hermano del padre de Catarina desapareció para siempre y ese hecho, como un veneno de efecto retardado, destruyó a toda su familia. Abel acabará acompañándola en un viaje fronterizo en el que descubrirán que aquel pasado inquietante y lejano aún está lleno de amenazas.

In April 1965, the bodies of General Humberto Delgado and his secretary were found in an Extremaduran town on the border with Portugal. The murders were the work of the Portuguese political police, commissioned by the dictator Oliveira Salazar and with the collaboration of Franco. Many years later, for Abel Castro, an old unemployed journalist who worked on the case, it is a forgotten matter. But he ceases to be when he receives a visit from Catarina, a young Portuguese photographer who is commissioned to tour crime scenes and wants to clarify a mystery that haunts her. Coinciding with the murder of Humberto Delgado, Catarina's father's only brother disappeared forever and that fact, like a delayed-effect poison, destroyed her entire family.
