Issued under the direction of João Pedro da Costa, to whom the author gave the manuscript. The death of the editor in 1857 left the work incomplete, the manuscripts passing into the possession of the editorś son. The part still inedited, including twelve or thirteen poets, embraces the Latin and French school, according to the division adopted by the author, the treatment of the Spanish and Italian troubadours thus being complete in the part published. compare Silva.
