Summary:

Documents a lawsuit by attorney Antônio Ferreira Viana on behalf of the descendents of Princess Leopoldina of Brazil, protesting the Brazilian government's attempt to repossess the Palacio Leopoldina, which belonged to her and to her descendents, upon her death in 1871 at the age of 23. The antenuptial contract is cited in support of Viana's claim that only in the absence of living descendents can ownership of the Palacio revert to the Brazilian government.
