In 1875 Pierre sold his interest to his mother, Mary Howe Moore (née Givan, previously Richards; 1819-1898); Robert continued to run the business until shortly before his death, after which his half-brother George E. Moore (b. 1852) took over. By 1908 the firm was known as "H.L. Fairchild Remedy Company" (90 Carroll St., New Brunswick, N.J.) under which name it continued in business until at least 1944.
