Summary:
The volume 'Facies e culture nell'età del Bronzo italiana?' discusses the use and significance of the concepts of facies and culture in Italian Bronze Age studies. Whereas other archaeological subfields have dismissed their use, they remain largely in use in Italian Bronze Age studies and continue to influence the interpretation of the Italian past. Besides a historiographical analysis and critical re-evaluation of the concepts, this volume provides for all parts of the peninsula and the islands a state of the art of the current use of these terms: the ideal basis to look to the future.
