- Summary:
- This research explores the lived leadership experiences, including viewed through the intersectionality of social identities (race and gender), of Black women seeking or holding executive leadership positions in philanthropic organizations. This qualitative phenomenological study examines similarities and differences of how race and gender influence social identity drawn from a cohort of female executives and aspiring executives across the United States. The researcher identify strategies that can be used to support the next generation of Black women executive leaders in philanthropy.
