The 1st work for 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns, and 2 bassoons, ; the 2nd work for piano, alto flute, English horn, bass clarinet, viola, and violoncello; the 3rd work for 23 instruments; the 4th work for clavichord; the 5th work for 20 instruments including 2 saxophones, 3 violoncellos, mandolin, and free bass accordion; the 6th work for 11 instruments.
The 1st work based on Mozart's Ein musikalisches Würfelspiel, realized by playing a snooker game; the 6th work composed in part using computer-generated random number operations.
Recorded in Liverpool at the Philharmonic Hall on Jan. 15, 2007 (5th-6th works) and May 12, 2007 (1st work), in Birkenhead at Bushell Hall on Oct. 20, 2006 (2nd-3rd works), and in London on Dec. 15, 2006 in the Concert Room of the Royal Academy of Music (4th work).
