Summary:
El presente volumen es la primera edición completa de la poesía del poeta afrodescendiente Ambrosio Echemendía, de quien se ha dicho en la Encyclopedia of the African and African American Experience (2003): 'Although an exceptional poet, he has not been studied as other nineteenth-century black Cuban intellectual figures such as Plácido, Juan Francisco Manzano, or Morrúa Delgado.'
