Notes:
Incorrectly reported as being based on "Le thresor d'escripture" (1550). The copies differ somewhat in the order of the woodcut specimens (printed only on the rectos in all editions) and in the quire signatures found on some of them. STC 6446 adds "Rules made by E.B. for his children to learn to write by". The type for the "Rules" is reimposed in folio format in STC 1024.5, where it is in the same 1-column typesetting. Settings of the "Rules" in STC 6446.6 and following, 3361.3 and following, and 3363.5 and following are all in two columns--Cf. STC.
Suggested publication date from STC.
A2v last line reads: END. "Rules made by E.B. for children to write by" are in the same typesetting and imposition as 6448.7--Cf. STC.
Signatures: A-L⁴.
