Misattributed to John Rainolds. MS note by James Kennedy on copy in New College, Edinburgh, ascribes to a "Sheerwood", which, says S. B. Burbage (1962) may be Richard Sherwood--Cf. Halkett and Laing, 3rd edition (1980).
A reply to Downame's "A sermon defending the honourable function of bishops" (part 2 of his "Two sermons").
Hondius printed the first part; Thorp printed part 2 (STC).
"Mr Downames sermon preached at Lambith, Aprill 17. 1608. Answered and refuted" (caption title) begins new pagination and register.
