Description: Manuscript Mexican cookbook, recipes include: bacalao en jitomate; pulpos en pulque, capirotada, quesadillas de flor de calabaza, albondigas de pollo, and many others. Attached to the inside of front cover of the notebook is an advertisement image for the Mexican brewery Cerveceria Toluca, which is illustrated with a drawing by the noted Mexican artist Julio Ruelas. The drawing, which depicts the Shakespearean character Falstaff, is a printed reproduction and signed in print, "J. Ruelas" and dated 1900.
