Summary:
Two reproduction vellum book covers in the style of the Italian Renaissance, one with a portrait of Savonarola (based on the portrait by Fra Bartolomeo at the Museo di San Marco, Florence) and two pairs of leather ties, and the other with a portrait of Dante and leather stitching, probably made in the 19th century.
Notes:
Modern biographical notes on Savonarola, in French, that were found in the frame behind the Savonarola cover are in library files.
