- The Forster Codices comprise 3 autograph manuscripts by Leonardo da Vinci. Each case contains a facsimile volume and a text volume with critical texts and paleographic transcriptions in parallel columns; a notarized colophon sheet is attached to the last volume.

- The binding on the facsimile of Codex Forster II has been attached the wrong way round: the flap is on the front cover on the original manuscript.
