- Summary:
- The troubled mayor of a small German town faces pressure from all sides. A village so deep in the Bavarian backwoods, its nightlife is dominated by a truck stop and a beer hall, its soccer team aspires to qualify for the ninth division next season, and its biggest employer is a faux-organic slaughterhouse. Mayor Alfons Zischl Jr. has his problems; he's neck-deep in debt, his Mercedes has been seized, he has a bad drug habit, he's been kidnapped and locked in a freezer.
