Summary:
The present catalogue is the outcome of several years (1997-2000) of excavation work at the archaeological site called El Tigre, in the municipality of Candelaria in the state of Campeche, which has resulted in an important catalog on elements found in situ, such as ceramics, figurines, whistles, lithic , shell, snail and bone that the ancient Maya made in the former Chontal capital Itzamkanac. "The elements presented here have a minimum age of 300 years before our era, others were manufactured later, especially during the Classic period (300-900 AD) or a few centuries before 1500 BC."
