- Summary:
- A record of the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of Great Britain at Birmingham Town Hall on Saturday 17th September. The programme of events included speeches by Harry Pollitt and W. Gallacher M.P., a production of "Plant in the Sun" - a drama by the Unity Theatre - and music by the Unity Male Voice Choir. Footage is mostly of the delegates gathered in the conference hall and the speeches made to them. Banners with images of Marxist heroes including Lenin and Engels are visible in the background of the conference hall. Outside the main conference there are shots of book stands and banners, including one calling to join the fight against fascism in Spain and another against Japanese aggression in the Far East.
