Summary:
Party political broadcast, given by John Gollan with the slogan "Go one better - Vote Socialist". Gollan talks about a variety of issues, from the need for strong trade unions to the problems of having so much wealth and economic power held in a small number of private hands. He speaks of opposing the Vietnam War and membership of the European common market. He makes a call, particularly directed at young voters, to break from the failed policies of the past in order to secure a future for everyone. The film is shot in a small office with a garden in the background. Gollan sits in a wooden chair in a relaxed posture. He talks directly to the camera, which cuts between close-ups of his face and long shots of him sat by his desk.
