A film documenting the achievements of four Second World War veterans and how they are now living their lives. Focuses on a group of Second World War veterans - Sergei Matsapura, Talgat Begeldinov, Sergei Kharlamov and Alexander Silyanov - and their roles as aviation marshal, machine gunner, scout mine layer, bomber squadron and signalman. Opening scenes show various Soviet war memorials commemorating the Second World War including Treptower Park in Berlin, the Motherland Calls in Volgograd and the Mound of Glory in Minsk.
