Summary:
Highlights from the 10th World Youth and Student Festival in 1973. Footage highlighting the events from each day of the festival, including political rallies, discussion groups, a tribunal accusing imperialism, parades and marches, sports, and entertainment. The slogan of the festival was "For anti-imperialist authority, peace and friendship" and it included delegations from all around the world including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, the Middle East, Africa and the USA. Also features footage of a water festival, a carnival, a conference on women's role in the fight against imperialism (with a speech by Valentina Tereshkova), a night-time gathering at Alexanderplatz and cultural entertainments.
