- Summary:
- Action-packed drama about a group of partisans operating under the orders of the Soviet Union in Bulgaria during the Second World War. Two parachutists reconvene in Bulgaria and lead a group of partisans in the fight against fascism. They face many encounters with the enemy and are continually successful in their efforts. Unbeknownst to the group however, a Nazi spy has infiltrated them and relationships amongst the partisans become strained. Based on the novel The Battle Began by General Stoyu Nedelchev-Chochoolu.
