- Summary:

Includes footage of Chinese people in Peking gathering in a state conference hall to mark the 5th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. A set of commemorative stamps is issued and dignitaries attend an exhibition of paintings by a Chinese artist on visiting Cuba. The Cuban Ambassador, Oscar Pino Santos, greets Chinese state leaders at a reception. Also features footage of the production line of a fully automated synthetic fibre textile factory on the outskirts of Peking; a sound absorption chamber built by the Chinese Academy of Sciences to test the characteristics of sound and acoustic equipment; lake fishermen using nets to catch fresh water fish and the harvesting artificially bred oysters; the handicraft of using coloured glass beads to embroider designs onto textiles; children celebrate the New Year at the Shanghai Young Pioneers' Palace with performances and games.
