- Summary:
- A delegation of African Americans visit various parts of the Soviet Union and see the main cultural sites and the progress in industry and services. Features journalist George Murphy, correspondent of Freedomways Magazine Norma Rogers, physics professor John Papadimous, student Jane Williams, librarian Pauline Young, Rodney Sampson of the African American Centre, professor of political economy Robert Rhodes, housewife Jocelyn Chisley, florist Elvin Chisley, writer Alice Childs and school teacher Ella Papadimous. The delegation visit Moscow and place a wreath at Lenin's mausoleum before going on to Tashkent in Uzbekistan, where they tour a tractor factory that pays women the same as men. They visit Stalingrad and its memorial, before returning to Moscow where the delegates meet the North Vietnamese ambassador. Finally they visit a museum dedicated to space exploration and the Union of Soviet Societies for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries where George Murphy speaks of the advancement of socialism.
