- Summary:
- Documentary film celebrating the life and work of Vladimir Lenin, with an emphasis on his impact upon the USSR and its citizens. This documentary uses much of the existing archive footage of Lenin (shot by Vertov and others), including material from his funeral. Also includes content on Krupskaya and Stalin. Intertitles are based on Mayakovsky's epic poem and ancient Uzbek legends are combined with footage that shows progress in the Uzbek republic and Russia under the Soviets during the 1920s and '30s.
