Summary:
Entertaining documentary which tracks the visit of an American family to Moscow after they successfully hosted a Russian family in Ohio. The film begins by introducing the McKenzie family from Portsmouth, Ohio, before showing them in various places in Moscow; the family stay with their host family in an apartment block and attend a May Day dinner, dance and parade. The film discusses hopes for peace during the Cold War, but also includes footage of the Americans touring a car factory with its own health clinic, a school where English is taught, an exhibition on space (including a model of Sputnik), a ballet and a circus.
